  13. Take 1 tbs *Spiceologist Smokey Habanero Rub (www.spiceologist.com)
  14. Take 3 tsp Oregano (Mexican Oregano Preferred but not necessary)
  15. Prepare 3 tsp Cumin
  16. Prepare 2 tsp Sea Salt (adjust to taste)
  17. Make ready 2 tsp Paprika
  18. Get 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  19. Get Bacon (crumbled for topping)
  20. Make ready Shredded Sharp Cheddar (for topping)
Steps to make Mike's Habanero Chili:
  1. Add Olive Oil to skillet on medium heat. Add chopped Onion and Garlic and saute for 4-5 mins (until onions are translucent and the garlic starts to brown).
  2. Add the Ground Beef and brown. Drain fat.
  3. In a Crock Pot, add all ingredients, including Ground Beef Mixture.
  4. Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours (*do not cook on high…it will burn on the bottom)
  5. Serve with Crumbled Bacon and Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (optional) or over your favorite pasta.
